buggs1a and all - Well it was a long day, and I was a bit irked that our newbie friend didn't seem to be trying to find the information.  I just googled Astaro 7 manual.  The first link was to a User BB post by ClausP that linked to the Astaro KnowledgeBase.  The third item in "Hot Topics" was a link for the manual.

The first time I saw RTFM was just a few months ago - a Google search instantly showed me the definition in Wikipedia.

asgnewbie, I don't mean to chase you off, but you'll get more help here if you make an effort to find/understand something first.  If you have difficulty reading the manual for any reason, please make that clear. 

Having said that, I do agree that there is a shortage of "recipes" in the KnowledgeBase and manual even when one does make the effort to look.

I guess I must be one of the lucky ones... I've heard / uttered RTFM many times over the years.  For me, it stands for Read The Freakin' Manual  (and I have uttered it to myself many times when I decide that I can do something without instruction) ... other 'F' word is reserved for very special individuals...  LOL

However,I really admit Im not genius as compare to other but I can understand.I beg your patience to answer all my queries,and Im happy somebody of you had devouted thier time to extend their support.
Well,Im not an native English man knows about street words If other describe like BalfSon used.Im not used to use FOUL words to whom I spoke with.From here you teached me what is the meaning of those nasty word and some emoticons that represents stupidity,Well,maybe next time around Im a lil bit carefull in regards to whom I talked with.I would rather say,who ever uses nasty words are also NASTY people.

Well, it seems we have a fine example of the power of language to start a war.

I'm not a native English speaker myself, but I keep telling myself that I'm getting the hang of it after more then 40 years. Main thing I've learned: Don't get insulted too quickly. Especially written language can be misinterpreted in so many ways that I've seen people starting to hate eachother whilst they were in total agreement over a subject.

Main thing I keep in mind is that any written tekst, including Internet Acronyms, (which is something different from street words) combined with smileys can mean totally different things. Given this example: RTFM [[;)]] for me, is a gently way to tell me that the answers I'm looking for are right in front of me If I will make the effort. RTFM [:@] is what I get asking my 10th question that is there in that same manual, and it isn't meant friendly. Smileys are powerfull and necessary things in written tekst on the internet, and they are there for us to help us interpret the context of a phrase. If you would like to know exactly why they came into existence, I'd reccomend reading the explanation of the inventor himself.

So if you want, you can make yourself feel insulted all the time whilst posting entries on a forum and getting replies. But from what I've read so far here, is that everybody is doing their best to help others and that their replies are meant to be read in that manner.

As for finding things (Even the meaning of RTFM [[;)]] ), nothing is easier than using Google or the search function of this forum. If that doesn't help, create a thread and get the help.  For future reference to acronyms, There is This nice little website [:D]
