Astaro count bandwidth only

Is there anyway that Astaro can be set to report on bandwidth only? So all it does is count what it does now in the reporting where it tells you how much you upload and download etc. 

Since I'm now using my linksys wrt160nl only I need a way to report on my traffic usage but don't have a clue how to do this for the network.

I've stopped using Astaro currently because it gets in my way too much and I don't know how to make the necessary changes plus Astaro is overkill for me and I'm sure you all agree it is too. Since the wrt160nl linksys I have doesn't offer any protection at all nor content filtering to block **** I still though want some AV and IPS and content filtering for my lan, [:(] and then report on my bandwidth use so I know how much I'm using.

    Hi buggs1a,
    the ASG doesn't count bandwidth, it counts packets.

    You will need the v7.500 production version to achieve this, the beta versions have some bugs that are still being ironed out.

    The ASG will need to be between your current box and the internet to collect all the stats you are after.

    It does count the traffic. It shows you how much upload and down on local and service etc in mb and gb. Since astaro is too hard for me to use as a main router I need something else or if possible to get asg to count traffic only and nothing else. I got no security in my linksys but asg is way to hard for me.

    It counts packets and bytes.

    The figures in the current version and the beta are not correct.

    If you have a read of the "new thread on suggestions and other things" you will find there is a posting in there about the inclusion of count in the current beta.

    weird cus i posted in here a long time ago and asked if the count was acciurate and everyone said yes it was. this was 7.x. anyhow astaro is too complex for me and if the counting isn't correct then it's useless . should be correct or not in the product. it's broken obviously and thats sad. im outta here.
    hopefully one day astaro will be worth using for me cus I really want to like it and be able to use it.

    The figures are accurate, but there isn't an overall total that can be used for what you are after.

    V7.500 will have a different accounting process.

    You just appear to be too impatient to learn. Only after the quick and easy fix, in that case you will find most products that provide what you are after are just too complex for you.
