Ok I noticed this has been mentioned a few times but my case is a bit different. Please consider implementing upnp, possibly with a filter of allowed upnp clients. Here is the problem I am running into. Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live both need 3074 open inbound from the internet for certain games. I could create a NAT rule but I play games on both my computer and Xbox so I would have to change the destination IP every time I switch from the Xbox to PC and vice versa. If upnp was supported I could just allow the xbox or PC to tell Astaro to open 3074 just when I need it.
I know there is a linux upnp package out there as Smoothwall runs it.
I know this makes no since in a corporate product but by setting up an allowed client list admins wouldn't need to worry. You could even take it one step further and have a list of ports for each host, IE Xbox can only open 3074 when needed.
If someone know another way to forward this port to my Xbox or PC easily, I'm open to suggestions.
EDIT- I just noticed astaro has user voice running. Adding this over there
Thanks,
Earl Stenlund
