Limewire access

Hi,
My users complaining that they cant access limewire.
I added already his ip address to the excemption address but still cannot access the limewire.I surf the web and the default ip of limewire is tcp/udp 6346.Do i need to allow this port to my astaro?My packet filter rules goes like this Source (my end users allowed to access limewire) Service (Any) Destination (Any)
Any inputs?

Do you have Masquerading setup already?

You probably should DNAT the incoming port also, and create a packetfilter rule for it.

What's an MD?

I use eMule, which I think is the same protocol, fwiw.
Is Limewire known for spyware or something?

Nope,

no spyware afaik.

But you have a really nice chance of being tracked when downloading copyrighted music by MediaDefender and other such firms.

So: don't download stuff that's copyrighted (OSS for the win [:D])

Used to have folks download garbage with Limewire all the time... that's why I have an aversion to it.

Yeah well,

in the downloads there may be viruses, but that's what you get with that stuff.

But not in the software itself.

Anyway, on topic:

Have you made Packet Filter rule for the outgoing port, and a NAT rule for the incoming part, as BarryG said?

yeah I made it already.
what i did was allowed the port being used and uncheck the proxy settings.
Now the end user can use limewire on his machine.
