Hello,
I am new to the forum and have a question:[:$].
I recently purchased a fanless barebones kit from mini-itx.com and would like to know if it would be possible to install Astaro Home without a cdrom drive.
System specifications are:
Motherboard: 1GHz Fanless VIA Eden V4 CPU
512MB DDR2 RAM
2x Agere ET1310 Chipset Gigabit LAN
4x Realtek 8100C Chipset 10/100 LAN
Front Panel LEDs: Power, HDD, User defined Status LED and 12 LAN LEDs (Link and Activity).
Inside Chassis: Compact Flash Slot
2.5in HDD Tray
MiniPCI Slot
44pin IDE connector
SATA connector
Rear Panel: On/Off Switch
DC Input (+12 ~ +24V DC with 15% tolerance, 27VA maximum )
VGA
1x PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse interface
2x USB 2.0 Ports
RS-232 Serial Port
4x 10/100 Ethernet and 2x 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet ports.
Internals: Mini-PCI socket
2.5in Hard Drive Bay and IDE/SATA Cables
512MB DDR2 RAM (can be upgraded with a 1GB DDR2 DIMM).
I know that the specs for Astaro calls for 1GB RAM. Right now I just need to know how, if possible, to install the firewall software without a CDRom Drive.
Thanks for you help.
