Strange net timeout after 7.4 update

Hi. I am seeing quite a few "network timeout" errors on my clients after 7.4 update (7.402 didn't fix this). how many is few? twice a day is the average. basically after a while all net trafic going out through astaro is timing out. can't connect to the webadmin either or telnet to the server. HOWEVER - if i do a mac scan on my whole net (i use colasoft mac scanner) astaro comes back to life as if nothing happened. 

as far as i can tell, this is happening only on my mobo lan: [VIA Technologies, Inc. VT6120/VT6121/VT6122 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter] but i cannot be sure at the moment.

has 7.4 made any changes to the way net interfaces are handled? are they now, perhaps, going to sleep whereas before they were kept up?

i would appreciate any suggestions.

    here is a belated update for this rather annoying problem. it is, of course, nothing to do with astaro but a result of a set of unfortunate coincidences. 

    astaro and the pc in question both were updated at the same time the homeplug net went down because of a hardware failure of the node connecting to the switch. pc update was to new version of zonealarm which, for some reason, suddenly had "Enable ARP Protection" set. this caused ARP packets to be dropped (after a while!) which wasn’t good for networking... homeplug part of the lan has all my linux boxes (yes I only have one windows box) and they also weren't able to connect to the net. amusingly the homeplug node wasn't jsut dead - it had all the lights on and it even blinked once in a while! given all of this I assumed there was something wrong with the astaro since all my pcs had network problems and the network looked healthy.

    anyhow, solved the problem by turning off the arp protectin on zonealarm and replacing the homeplug node. 

    moral of the story - don't believe that coincidence don't happen and don’t blame astaro [:$] [:)]
