Feature request: Support for vmware tools in vmware server 2.0

I would be glad if Astaro could make a vmware server 2.0 image for ASG which supports vmware tools used in vmware server 2.0.

I would also be nice if Virtual Hardware version 7 also could be supported. Today the Virtual Hardware version is 4, although I could upgrade to version 7.

    First of all, thank you for using Astaro Virtual Appliance.
    We are currently working on the update of VMware tools for version 7.

    For the Virtual Hardware Version, there is a quick answer. [;)]
    We decided to use the Version 4, because with Version 4, you have the possibility to use the Virtual Infrastructure Client for configuration, otherwise you have to use the Webinterface.

    VMware will not deliver the VI-Client with VMware Server 2.01, so maybe in this case, we will decide to change de Virtual Hardware Version for VMware Server / Workstation / Player.

    In vmware server 2, I could successfully upgrade the Virtual Hardware Version to version 7by a simple mouse click. The reason was that with Virtual Hardware Version 4 it was not possible to add the fifth vmnet I am using, it was missing when using Virtual Hardware Version 4. However, after upgrading, the interface could be added with no problem.

    A working instance of vmware tools is important to have, especially if you want to shutdown the host. 
    I have an UPS, and during a power failure, the host WILL shutdown after a couple of minutes. Today, when vmware tools is not working with vmware server 2.01, the ASG instance is shut down hard, and I have to manually remove some files before I could start it up again.

    And by the way. The ASG virtual Appliance is working really really good!
