internet connection

Hi !

Dear friends ,

yet another basic quastion !

can you please tell me which is best of connecting internet to astaro (terminating in to astaro box )

1what if i dont have staic connection (ip) ,i have to use adsl connection with dynamic ip and use adsl router where lot of time we face problem with port fowarding/port blocking (how do avoid this)

2if my isp give me a ethernet cable and terminate in pc (now in astaro) where i have to type isp provided user name and password in browser then only you login and same way you logout

It sounds like you need to choose one of the three PPP types in the definition of your External interface.

i had one connection at home (i surrender later) where it was prompting user name and passwd to login and it i was getting ip from dhcp i want to put that connection with astaro

i am presently having static ip ,which is in bridge mode (interface) and i want to test vpn also with second connection isp
