In the last few days we've been getting complaints from a couple of customers that their email has been blocked by ourselves.
After a bit of digging it turns out blackholes.us (dns country blacklist) is dead, i'd configured Astaro to use a bunch of country blacklists like china.blackholes.us, russia.blackholes.us etc. What has been happening is that on connecting to send us an email astaro has been timing out on these dns blacklists and by the time it comes to deliver because of the time taken some email servers have given up. (hence customers email to us not being delivered)
So, here's the feature request.
The ability to detect or automatically remove/disable dead dns blacklists if they don't respond in a timely manner.
For example, this would disable/remove taiwan.blackholes.us if it happened:
2009:01:13-12:21:02 (none) exim[6851]: 2009-01-13 12:21:02 DNS list lookup defer (probably timeout) for 155.248.19.84.taiwan.blackholes.us: assumed not in list
