7.300 storage volume space shortage

Hi All,

Does anyone know why I have 2039 files in /var/storage/cores called core.aua.bin.***x where ***x is a sequential number?

My storage volume has suddenly shot up to approximately 90% use from about midday today (British Summer Time).

Are these files safe to delete, will they be recreated?!?

Any suggestions appreciated.

    You can safely delete those core files, they are not necessary for the functioning of the system.


    Ok, I did that.  I've come in to the office this morning with the same situation.

    Any idea what the problem might be?
