[7.300] Browser compatibility issue

Using the IE8 beta2 that was released earlier this week, mail manager won't open properly.  Appears to be due to the stricter security model of the browser not allowing authentication data to be passed between tabs or windows.
 
The powers that be at Astaro may want to begin playing around with this now, so that a fix or workaround can be put in-place before final release of the browser, which is expected to be in November.

    it's an IE quirk i bet..[:)]  try putting the firewall into the trusted section of the security area.

    Unfortunately it's more complex than that I'm afraid. Adding the device address to the trusted zone doesn't work. Also tried lowering security for the trusted zone.
     
    Edit: Good News I've found a workaround. When you click on "Open Mail Manager in new window", the MM will begin to load and a popup message will be generated that says "Unable to log you in, sorry." and will stop loading (this is the error). Click on the OK button to close the popup.  Do not close this window (or tab depending on your settings). Go back to the initial WebAdmin page and click on the "Open Mail Manager in new window" button again. MM will open in a third window or tab properly.

    Thanks for the input.  You've probably also noticed many other AJAX pages do things like put footers above bodies and other CSS failures in IE8.

    I have noticed the IE8 update which came out this week does render some pages a bit better, and the IE7 emulation mode works much better than it did in the earlier IE8 releases.
