I have things turned on such as:

Network Security -> Intrusion Protection
Web Security -> Content Filter & AntiVirus
Email Security -> SMTP Proxy Status & Antivirus & Antispam
Email Security -> POP3 Global is also turned on & green

I guess that would really be it.  I dont have Instant messaging turned on, or VOIP.  Nor VPN.

this might be a leftover from a faulty spam pattern update which increased RAM usage.

can you please show me the weekly graph if the RAM usage from the reporting section.
How did the memory rise?

In order to free the memory you need to disable the smtp and pop3 proxy, wait 30 seconds and enable them again.

if that doesn't help, than you just reboot the machine.

I've attached a screenshot of the weekly swap usage.  So what is the swap, is it like a temp location for files,updates, etc?  I'm not sure when it rose like that, I dont check the web interface all that often.  Its been up for 56 days though, so I guess a reboot could help eh?

try connecting to command line and execute 
/var/mdw/scripts/ctasd restart
