Detect If Firewall Shutdown

I'm still running 7.102, I know a few updates behind, however I think my internet connection dropped sometime today.  Is there a way to find out when it dropped off?  I dont see anything on the dashboard, and I looked at the logs, but couldnt figure out which log to find out, what time the connection dropped.  Hopefully it would log that.

    Hi,

    depending of the way you're connected to the internet, you may have a look at /var/log/pppoe.log.

    There you'll find any information about the pppoe-demon, at which time it dropped the connection and at which time it reconnected - including the new ip-address and few more information.

    Are you trying to see of the Astaro restarted, or the link dropped? The system log will show you if the Astaro restarted, but it the ISP had a failure you probably will bot be able to see it directly- such as delayed messages in the SMTP log.

    I have a cable modem going to a nic card in my server with astaro on it.  I checked the log u mentioned, no luck.  I guess I'm just trying to find out when the link dropped.  The astaro didn't restart, just the cable modem went out probably.

    Check the network reporting graphs per interface, and see when incoming traffic stopped on your external interface.
