Gray on white text

Only see this with Firefox Beta releases, not with Firefox 2.0.0.x  Hove wondered whether this is a potential Astaro problem, or a potential Firefox problem.

Yeah, this seems to be a Firefox issue (I'm using Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 5 here).

Yup, have same issue here.  Astaro are aware of the issue but are unsure if it's their problem or Firefox's.

It is an issue in the vers 3 release.  Does not happen in IE.

Example:
In Firefox 3 go to Reporting>Network Usage>Accounting tab.  For me that looks fine. But when I select any of the other tabs (daily, weekly, etc), which also looks okay, and go back to the Accounting tab, that table is light grey on white out to the last character of the % column.  For me, this is consistently repeatable.  I can immediately switch to another report and come back to the Network usage accounting tab and see the same behavior.

Use IE in the meantime till this is fixed I guess. Unsure whose at fault.  Heard of a few issues with Firefox 3 now with things like some webmail systems and Astaro interface.

The grey on white text came up when using betas of Firefox 3 and the Astaro 7.200 beta.  I think one of the Astaro people said they were researching to see if it was a Firefox 3 or Astaro 7.200 issue but we never heard any more about it.  I think that was at least a couple of months ago.

Now that both FF3 and Astaro 7.2xx have been released - and nothing has been fixed, it would great to get some answers.

Though in the beta forums for 7.300 I read where the problem is now resolved.  So maybe it was an Astaro issue after all.

I've got the same problem with text color and Firefox 3.  I installed a Firefox extension called IE Tab which will make Firefox render a page as IE would.  I added my Astaro IP to the IE list in IE Tab and everything looks fine now that FF is using the IE engine.

To verify that the problem wasn't something carried over from FF 2.x that FF 3.x didn't handle well, I went ahead and dumped my FF3.01 install, hand removed all the folders and registry settings.  Then reinstalled.  Same problem.  Hopefully there is a fix in the 7.300 beta.

Astaro may be able to work around the problem, but other AJAX sites are battling the same issue- the root problem is with Mozilla's font handling in FF3.

Do you know if there is a fix in the works by Mozilla?  Since they just came out with 3.01 with no fix for this issue, maybe Mozilla's making a change and they want programmers to re-write to accommodate this change?
