Home user renewal??

I have been running ASG v6 / home use license (which has been working very well for me, BTW...)

The license recently expired (without warning...)

I would like to renew my license, but I can't figure out how to do so.  When I log onto Astaro.com I can see my existing license.  There is an Upgrade button (to generate a V7 key)--but I don't really want to upgrade versions at this point.

I just want to extend the existing subscription I have.

I opened a case with Astaro, but did not get clear directions from them, other than to say that the home license does not come with support...

Can anyone tell me how to renew my home use license?

    I don't think you can "renew" it... you might just have to upgrade to Version 7 to get a valid license.  Version 6 is due to drop from the actively supported version list middle of next year, I think.   Is there a particular reason you're not running the latest version?  Don't let the problems posted here in the forums hold you back from at least trying it, as one must remember that rarely does one post here with an "atta boy" or positive post, as this is mainly used to solve random issues.

    You can generate the V7 license key and install it on the ASG V6. I´ve done this with my home license (meanwhile upgraded to V7). The purchased license is a V7 key also, but the ASG runs V6.

    Yeah, forgot to mention that the license is backwards compatible with Version 6...

    Excellent.  Thanks, all:  the version 7 license worked just fine on my version 6 box.  Astaro didn't even ask me to pay anything--I just clicked the Upgrade button, and I received the license with a subscription expiration date three years from now.
