Sorry, you are wrong.
SSG-5 Base supports only 8.000 and the extended version supports max. 16.000 concurrent connections. Only 25/40 concurrent tunnels are supported and last where do you find half the price ?? ebay ?
This price is for the SSG5 extendet.... 16000 conections 40 Tunnels...
And your right its not half the price, its a quarter of the price....
And a big pluss... 7 WAL/LAN ports 1 AUX port and a terminal port...[:@]

The fee for the extended licence 500$ is missing and you are comparing an appliance against a software version. And why do you add email encryption fee for this comparison ??? The SSG-5 is not able to encrypt emails ??
You should investigate a little bit more the true facts..... and also compare appliance with appliance.
Btw. The security pack for the ssg-5 did include spam protection !

You can take out 600$ from the astaro version....
OK, the Astaro BOX with 10 Active IP cost ca 12.000,- NOK without the MAIL CRYPT And you only get 10 Active IP addresses.... you can add another ca 9000,- NOK for the Astaro 120 Model ca 21.000,- NOK for the same appliance box from Astaro....
thats about 3500$ for the Astaro appliance 120
