Shutdown after no link beat on interface of a HA system

Hello,

we have running two identical systems using ASG 6.310 with the HA option.
There were some problems with one NIC today, so we got the following notification with the subject '...[CRIT-080] HA check: no link beat on interface - going down' from the master firewall:

'There was no link beat on Internal (eth0) - second of two tries
The system is going down for HA slave mode restart.

The notification says that the system (wall2) is going down for a restart but it was shut down instead of being restarted.
We have not found any information about this in the manual and in this bulletin board.
Maybe somebody knows why the system was shut down or how we can avoid this next time if a NIC fails. We would appreciate any help. Thanks.

    Astaro always shuts one machine down if the other is not reachable to prevent conflicts.

    For this reason, it is good to use both a NIC & serial cable to maintain HA status between the redundant firewalls.

    Only one firewall should have gone down in this case and the other remained up, is this correct? Or did both go down? Your post is a bit confusing.

    We use a NIC as well as a serial cable to maintain the HA status between the two firewalls. 
    The notification said that firewall 'wall2' is going down for a slave mode restart, but it was shut down instead of beeing restarted.
    The other firewall 'wall1' took over as expected and remained up. We just wonder why 'wall2' didn't came up after the mentioned 'restart' but was shut down.

    I'd recommend you guys upgrade to V7 as the HA stuff is a *lot* better in V7. Easier to configure, quicker to fail over, just better stuff.
