Authentication required?

I have a newly installed ASG 7.1 box, and while I'm quite familiar with Watchguard boxes, the terms in Astaro have me a little confused. My biggest hurdle at the moment is determining if authentication is required, what if I want ALL users to have the same rules but I'm not in an enviroment that I want users to login (I'm at home).
The second issue is that a number of pages are not allowed with no explicit reason in the logs, one example would be https pages, but https proxy is allowed.
Performance with just one user is VERY slow, granted its an old box, but at this point it would be nice just to get it working!

    A: Simply go to HTTP Security >> HTTP >> Global Tab (default tab) and change "Operation Mode" to Transparent Mode. This will allow for content filtering to all people on your network without having them login to the proxy.

    A: This may clear up when you change the proxy to Transparent Mode. If it doesn't I would need more details to give a better answer.

    Q: Very slow...

    A: This could be for any number of reasons, what is your CPU used % sitting at? Are you running virus scanning on the web proxy? How much RAM do you have in this computer?
