Backup / Restore

Help!
I want to restore a backup file with the command line "backup.plx" to restore an old auto_backup file from before I screwed with the NIC cards and inadvertently disabled the WebAdmin interface. Can you help rectify the problem? If a backup restore from the command line will work then where do the backup files live?

Check the KnowledgeBase for Article # 250872

If backup is not previously stored on the system first copy the backup file onto the ASG device using a utility such as WinSCP into the default directory of /home/login

Login to ssh and gain root access

Decrypt file:
backup.plx -d

System will then prompt for the encryption password in order to continue restore
Once complete the file will now exist in the directory as a regular .abf file for normal restoration

Restore backup
backup.plx -i

Those SEARCH buttons are really a brilliant invention [:D]

If you have the backup files emailed to yourself than just throw it on a usb memory stick and reboot with the system with it plugged in. It will read it and restore it. Saved my but one day when I had an oops.

Warper's idea works, but only on unencrypted backups...
