high system load caused by mysqld and csync2

hola.

i'm running asg 220 7.101 with web-sec, mail-sec and ha-option. sometimes the ha-node changes because of high system load (>10.0).

i kept an eye on top sorted by cpu usage and saw mysql and csync2 processes with 50-95% cpu load.

i've configured single-scan for http and smtp, i disabled IPS, i cleared the http-proxy-cache and disabled greylisting. 

anyhow the system load (cpu & hdd) is very high for max 50 permanent http-users and about 600 mails per day. following the astaro sizing guide i expected a normal system load.

is there a configuration, that causes this permenant load by mysqld?
what is csync2 doing? what is using the the mysqld?

    At 50 users, with the HTTP Proxy and SMTP Proxy running, you are pushing the limits of what a 220 can handle with the 512MB of RAM they ship with.  If it's an older unit, it can't be upgraded, and if it's one of the new units, upgrading the memory could void your warranty.  For customers with that kind of demand, we normally sell either custom hardware with a software license, or a 320.  You might want to check with your Reseller for options.  Granted, there could be some other sort of issue, so you can try support first; but I think you'll find there's simply not enough RAM in the unit to handle all that you're asking it to do.

    at the beginning i also suspected a absence of memory. but top rarely shows wait load over 1%. it seems that mysqld and csync2 are the origins for high cpu loads. curiously deleting the proxy cache and restarting greylisting reduced the cpu load caused by mysqld.

    proxycache and greylisting seem to increase the datebase size, so mysqld needs more time to answer queries. i'll try to find an evidence.

    btw: i'm the reseller, who trusted in the astaro sizing guide. [:$]

    That sizing guide can be a little "optimistic" at times.  I prefer to give myself some wiggle room when I sell a system.

    Also, since you are the reseller, have you tried opening a case with support?
