I have a couple of older IBM PCs running ASG 7.101 that lose time. It loses hours and it seems to do it quickly. The hardware clock is fine if I reboot and check setup. I can go into Wedadmin and apply the correct time. I have removed any NTP time source to see if that was the problem and I've updated the system BIOS. The system is a P-IV 1.8 with 2GB of RAM.
If the time jump happens after mid-night the system has to be power cycled because you can't login to Webadmin or the console although the SMTP proxy and NAT rules still function. I assume this is because the system gets gets real busy when it tries to write to logs that have archived/compressed.
The same machine was running SuSE 9 and served as the NTP time source for the internal network for over a year and had no problems.
