Home licensing use.

What options do I lose, besides direct support, with the home license?

What is the throughput speed for 7.1? (I have 10/2 FIOS)

Is all this listed somewhere? [:O]

You lose support, and are limited to 10 IPs going through the firewall.

Depending on hardware, Astaro can handle Gigabits of traffic.

There are some PDFs floating around that have performance specs for the Astaro appliances, but they are not really affordable for home users.

Anyways, 10/2 should be no problem on a PIII or better with 512MB - 1GB RAM.

IIRC, the only feature not in the free v7 home user license is Clustering & Failover.

Thank you that helps alot!

Now I am just wondering about FIOS TV...

Does anyone know if if the router has to be plugged in directly to the Internet connection, or can I just plug it into my switch?

If the TV device is separate from the internet modem/router/bridge, then it can go on the LAN. You may need to create incoming DNAT and PacketFilter rules... read the documenation for the TV device to see what incoming & outgoing ports it needs.
