7.100 box down.. unable to login

Getting repeated "Unable to complete backend request" errors when trying to get into webadmin.

Looking at /tmp/confd-debug.log, I am seeing over and over:

Can't use string ("4707") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at confd.pl line 446.

Checking the mdw log files, shows connection refused, which I assume is becaue of the prpc server being killed off.

Help?

This box was working great until I tried to change the timezone setting.

    Thanks to the amazing guys at Astaro, this is fixed. Turns out it was caused by a stale lockfile from when I changed the local time zone .

    One of those .pid files?  I had a similar problem that had a similar solution... winbindd would not start (no SSO authentication as a result) ... we finally found the winbindd.pid file was in a "time warp."  Deleting it and restarting winbindd fixed it... it happened somehow during the upgrade from 7.011 to 7.100 on our production system.
