Turning IPS on pegs CPU 100%?

Astaro V7.011 - when I turn IPS on the CPU is pegging out at 100% and the box grinds to a halt for 3-5 minutes, and then comes back to life so to speak. With IPS off I do not seem to be having this issue. Any ideas?

  • Its a little eMachines box on Comcast cable modem.

Actually, when I turn IPS off, it still does peg 100% sometimes, just not nearly as bad it seems?

what version of astaro?  if you aren't running 7.0.11 update up to that point.  many cpu exhaustion issues are solved with the latest 7.0.x version
