iPhone Compatibility

Hi,

I find the iPhone the perfect size to manage astaro (see pics)... the only issue is that after logging in, the menu on the left doesn't seem to work anymore so that i can only see the main screen but not edit the configurations...

The caching of the objects seems to be fine...

With Version 6.x it works perfectly...i can edit everything..

Any hint?

    Have you tried with Safari on Windows or Mac?

    I'm not sure if you're talking to me -- but no... My understanding is that Astaro tests the Webadmin implementation with Firefox 2.x and IE 6 /7 exclusively... for the reasons that Ajax implementation vary from browser to browser.  I wouldn't be suprised if Safari, or any of the other browsers out there, didn't have an issue with Webadmin of some sort or another. Just about any browser can obviously be used with the proxy, etc., but for management I wouldn't count on anything other than Firefox or IE.

    hi guys!
    we are also testing webadmin on safari (ver. 2.0 on mac, and 3.0 on mac and windows). so actually the webadmin should also work for the iphones.

    okay, checked the net for limitations that apple did to Safari on the iPhone.

    Limitations that might cause trouble with webadmin:

    - Any downloaded resource, whether it’s HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, or non-streamed media, must be less than 10 MB. The 10-MB limit applies to the encoded size of images. There is also a limit to the decoded size of images

    - JavaScript execution is limited to 5 seconds for each top-level entry point

    Safari on iPhone not supported feature that might cause trouble:

    - Mouse-over events
    - Hover styles
    - Custom x.509 certificates
    - File uploads and downloads
