I've read the system requirements but I must ask is anyone here running astaro on a p3 I have a few in the closest a 866, 1gigahertz and a 1.2 gigahertz. Will this be enough power for V7 I will be using proxy and all vpn features and mail filtering, Its been a long time since I used the product my last go was the version 4.

    I did some more reading on v7 I did not know you were limited to 1000 connections on the new home license. My home lan is pretty busy 1000 just does not cut it I think I will go with pfsense, endian, or monowall thanks anyway

    I've got eMule and BitTorrent running, plus a VOIP phone, and I don't have any noticable problems with the connection limit.

    You'd want extra RAM if you'd be using all the features (1GB).

    Look at my sig.  I'm running a fast p-3 system that's scsi based.  However this is only used for 5 systems but i am using the content filter, anti-virus and anti-spam for pop3, and ips. If you are looking for a larger base go with at least a 2.0 ghz cpu and no less than a gig of ram with fast hard disks.

    Guys I used my old license file on V7   10   06/10/2005   06/11/2008  file and got 32000 connections.  I must say the gui is nice

    I'm running V 7 on a P3 600 with 512mb of RAM.  Use the SSL VPN all the time and have the firewall and intrusion detection running... no problemo...
