Licensing, max IP and concurrent connections

hi guys,
i need to know what happen when Astaro exceed the maximum number of IP for a license and what happen when exceeding max concurrent connections.

in my corporate we have  two 50 IP license ASTARO V5.215 and four 10 IP license V7.010 and these are the limit for license utilization:

how can i determinate the effective number of concurrent connections and the top utilization user or computer ? 
In my situation Astaro is the default gateway for a department of 120 computers; only 50 of those can surf the web; the others are using webmail services ( over port 80 ) or other web services ( over port 7777 ) but in "licensed users IP count menu"  all 120 computers are counted.

any idea ?

    Any system that send traffic that traverses the gateway (whether it's proxy traffic or NAT MASQ traffic, etc.) is counted as a licensed IP.  If you don't want a computer to use a license up, do not point it to the Astaro as a gateway at all.

    When the license counts are exceeded by a certain percentage (I think it's 10%), additional connections from additional user IPs are blocked until an inactive IP times out (varies depending on version, I think 7.x is seven days, earlier versions might be 30 days).

    If you're running the internal DHCP server on ASL, anything using DHCP will get counted, e.g. printers, ...

    so, if i need to deploy ASTARO as default gateway for 150 PC + 50 printer + 10 server i need at least a 250 user IP license ???

    but only few of this clients ( 50 ) need to surf the web; for the others i'll pay a license for no reason !!!

    Otherwise if the license is undersized what happen ??
    clients timeout? impossible to estabilish new connection ? applications fault due to timeout ? or what else ?

    Uhh...just run DHCP server on something else (surely with 150 users you have a server -- most server OSs come with a DHCP Server component).  Just don't point the users, printers, etc. that don't need internet access at the Astaro (the default gateway setting).... it's that simple.  So no, you don't need a 250 user license in your scenario.

    i'm running dhcp on another server, in my scenario Astaro will be the default gateway because i've also 6 site-to-site VPN connections defined  for reaching other plants and remote site ( one of this is a remote datacenter so there are a lot of services running there like SAP, fileservers, Oracle DB and so on.. )
    for my network topology i need to use Astaro as default GW and i need to deploy a lot of static route over it!

    i'm planning to buy a ASG 220 ( for the unlimited IP license ) instead of a 250 User license but i'm not sure about performance of this applience .

    any idea ?

    My name is Mauricio Dulon, I am in Bolivia. My company is a technology integrator. Currently I have a client, a bank, that has 1000 email users. they used to use the ASG220, but now they are changing to ASL.  They are using their ASL mainly for the email package . They want to buy a 1000 user license, however I am not sure they need that size license. How does Astaro count the users? I know it is by IP, however, will an email account be considered as a user?

    We have ASG6 with license for 25 ips, we have no problem with this license, but when we upgrade the server to ASGV7, the ip counter increase up to 40 and we don't know why. 
    We supouse that ASG7 count diferent than ASG6, anyone have this problem or similar or know why it happens.
