User license to use surf protection

I currently have ASGv6 installed and using a home license.  I'd like to start using the surf protection feature to block sites from my kids.  It appears I need to upgrade the version I'm using.

Is this the case?  What's the easiest way to upgrade?  I've not seen any pricing info for a "personal upgrade" license.

Thanks.

  • Home User licenses are free, good for 10 user IPs... Go to my.astaro.com and register for a free home user license.  All features are enabled with this license.

  • Thanks.  As I mentioned, I have a home license already.  However, it appears I'm not able to take advantage of surf protection.

I have the option in the administration interface, but it won't let me save any options such as blacklists to use.  I had assumed this was because I needed to purchase an 'upgrade' to what I have now.

    Is that not the case?
  • I think you are going to need to upgrade to the version 7 to get all the feature free for a home user.
  • Version 7 license will work on 6 for those features but concurent is limited
to 1000 as oppossed to 32,000 for a v6 license
