Licence Limit 90% But it shouldn't be

I've just received from my home ASG saying it is approaching the 10 user limit however, I only have 4 computers using the gateway and usually only three of these are concurrently connected.  I also have two wireless access points and a print server however these don't access the gateway for any reason total number of IP's = 7 But active internet connected machines is only 3 or 4 (max) at a time.

Occasionally I do a repair job for friends' machines and those machines connect to the gateway but my understanding was that the licence is concurrent, however the ASG seems to be counting IP's serially. 

My question is: what is the concurrent timeout and is there a way to flush the IP table?

    Hello All and sorry Buggrit for hijacking your thread.

    I have the same problem. I have 6 machines on the network and 4 access points. None of the access points go out on the internet, in fact they are not in my user list for internet access nor do they appear in the web or packet log.

    I do however freqently get an email from the gateway informing that I have reached my user limit. A reload to factory settings and restore of the backup file cures this for a while again. I can only asume that the gateway is picking up arp packets from the access points.

    1. It would be nice to know how the Astaro gateway counts the connected IP's. Is it via arp or by those IP's actualy going out on the net.

    2. As mentioned on this thread, this is a major bugbear of the gateway.

    It would be nice to get some comment from Astaro on this as I am about to upgrade my licence to give me a few more features.

    Are your AP's getting their IP addresses through DHCP from Astaro?

    Astaro counts all DHCP clients in the license limit, even printers.

    Nope. I have an internal DNS, WINS and DHCP server. The only thing astaro is configured to do is use my DNS server as a forwarder.
