I have them all blocked apart from Skype, yet I can still access it through proxy

I am using HTTP profiles in which I have elevated privileges and I can access webmail. I am using a hotmail account to sign in, is this what is causing me to bypass these IM settings

    You need to review your default settings in the http proxy.
    remember it is the fallback when all profiles and filters fail.

    Also what packet filter rules do you have in place? If you have a generic rule like
    internal network-> any (port) -> any (destination) -> allow
    the messenger services will go straight through.

    HTTP proxy will need to be in standard mode (my opinion) so that the users are forced to use the proxy.

    My default settings do not allow webmail for the standard http proxy.
    I also have no internal network-> any (port) -> any (destination) -> allow rule set either.

    Web mail uses port 80 or through a proxy 8080, so how can you stop it without stopping all web browsing?
