How to reboot Astaro from Shell?

Howdy folks

I installed a new license to my Astaro 120 and it is hanging at connecting to backend. I cannot SSL VPN either.

I am working remote and need regain access. What is the best option?

Hi have SSH access but cannot figure out the reboot command.

use the restart script, you don't need to reboot the box

cd /etc/init.d/restart start

to reboot the box. i think it is

from shell shutdown -r NOW

top one will def help you though

/etc/init.d/restart start worked but even after it reboots webadmin stills sits at "Connecting to backend..."

As root, typing "init 6" works just fine.

init 0 does a shutdown

or more simply:

0 — Halt

1 — Single-user mode

2 — Not used (user-definable)

3 — Full multi-user mode

4 — Not used (user-definable)

5 — Full multi-user mode (with an X-based login screen)

6 — Reboot

I just use "shutdown -r now" --- if you want to force a filesystem check, "shutdown -F -r now" is the ticket.

The "reboot" command also works, and is probably easier to remember [;)]

Make sure you are root first (su), I've had trouble doing reboots with sudo.
