Hi to all.

I have two questions:

1. After upgrade to ver 7.006, Much too often I can't get into Reporting » Web Security.
After about 30 second of trying, I'm getting the message:
"unable to complete backend request. please click Shift-Reload in your browser to attempt re-login", and I'm forced to log on again.
Has any one have an idea Why?

2. In the Executive Report i can see in the TOP10 Services, that there is a service that use port 59736. where can i see what service and what IP using it?

    1. Your firewall is overrun? Wait a day after the upgrade and see if it still happens? 

    2. Not a clue, maybe an infected machine. Block it and see what happens. [:)]

    It's more than a week since I have upgraded to ver 7.006
    The machine works fine and my CPU normally at about 30%-45%, and so is the memory.  I have about 500 users, but my server is quit a monster, so unless There is a load issue concerning many users, I can't find any thing that can cause this problem.
    I have been told that Astaro can handle more than 2000 users with no problem.

    My question about the port was, if like other fire wall, i can see somewhere in the  logs any information concerning this port?

    Hmmm.... yeah, I can vouch for a 525 handling up to 2000, not sure what hardware you have. 

    Regarding the port - I would think that you'd be able to track it in the packet filters okay, if you specified that port only in the live log. you could log in to ssh, do a tcpdump | grep 59736 and see where it's coming from at least. 

    If your categories still aren't showing up, I'd open a case at support. or you could just back up your system, re-apply the ISO, then restore the config. Easy if you have an appliance, not as easy (I think anyway) if you don't.

    My server: new Dell PowerEdge 1900 duel xeon 2.8 + 4G Ram.
    Like I said, its running at 30-40% CPU and about 40% memory.
    While Doing the report, the CPU jump temporarily (for about 5 minuets) to about 70-80%.

    Hi there, 

    due to a faulty optimization, the same web surfing data get added to the database over and over again causing inaccurate numbers.
    THis lead to an extreme growth of the database which again lead to long query times.

    We are currently in progress of uploading ASG V7.007 which will fix this issue and will also clean up the web reporting database so all numbers are accurate again.

    Hi Gert,

    Upgraded our 425 to 7.007 last night

    The Web Security statistics issue looks well and truly fixed [[:D]]  , we are no longer reporting over 800GB through our 10MB pipe per day !!!

    Web Reporting is virtually instant, and does not lock up the web interface [[:D]] 

    Users > Authentication > Advanced > Backend  Query order - Still does not save your ordering changes [:(] 

    Also seems to be blocking lots of Spyware, this has always been 0 with 7.006


    There isn't a fix list posted yet?, Has edirectory authentication be looked at in this patch?

    1. So far it works great.
        Thanks allot for the fast responds.

    2. It would be really great and helpful tool for me, if it would be possible to see the log also in smaller resolution - let say the last hour.
    This way I can find out and responds to events much faster.
