I have finished the install of Astaro and am accessing the dashboard form one of my client computers.
What I need to know is what IP address will I be using for the DNS resolver? Will it be the domain controller (192.168.1.102), or will it be the default gateway of ASG (192.168.2.100)?
I have 1 domain controller w/ SBS Server 2003 and 2 clients w/ XP Pro. I have one USR 8700 NAS which will require an IP address. I have cable internet, my ISP is Charter, going thru a linksys cable modem, then into a linksys router/wap, which is cureently handling DHCP. the IP addresses are as follows.
Domain controller - 192.168.1.102
Client 1 - 192.168.1.103
client 2 - 192.168.1.108
NAS - 192.168.1.106
I seer the default for the Astaro is 192.168.2.100. Does this mean I have to reassign all my machines IP addresses in the 192.168.2 range? Or will ASG do that for me once it is configured as DHCP?
I'd appreciate some insight on this before I take DHCP off the router and transfer it tho the gateway firewall.
Thanks!
Chris
