High Availibility and Uplink failover

How can i use the feature of Uplink failover with HA option.
When the primary link on Active goes down the secondary will come up but how can i make the standby Astaro to become master when the primary link goes down so i have 2 different internet providers connected to Active and Passive.

Provider A connected only to Active Firewall and privider B connected only to Passive Firewall.

    The Uplink failover will not start the HA takeover!
    You have to cable both internetconnections to both firewalls.

    To confirm Medic's post:

    Uplink Failover and Active/Active or Active/Passive HA are two completely different beasts.

    Uplink Failover uses Ping (which is weak IMHO) to determine whether the primary link is passing traffic. If three pings fails then the uplink is cutover to the standby and the default route of the ASG is changed accordingly.

    HA on the other hand has to do with the physical failure of some part of an ASG. For example, (in Active/Passive) if a unit locks up due to a motherboard failure, the slave will detect the failure (due to lack of linkbeat) and become the master. The easiest way to test this is to physically disconnect an ethernet interface.

    Hence, for HA+Uplinkfailover to work concurrently you will need to duplicate your physical cabling across both ASG's (heartbeat link as well as any private/public network links).

    An uplink failover will never cause an HA takeover.
