Help - ASL 220 Monitoring with Nagios

Hi Guys,

Im a total newbie at Astaro (and somewhat a novice with Linux).  My first attempt to build a Linux system is a Nagios box which monitors all our printers/windows machines. 

i have been looking everywhere for help with using Nagios to monitor my Astaro 220 (the company I work for also has another 220 and also a 120 in two other locations) but i just cant seem to find anything.  I want nagios to monitor the following services:

Load, Disk, RAM, Uptime (which i kind of got working)
A bonus would be if I can also monitor the Site2site VPN's

Has anybody got nagios working with their Astaro box? 

I would really really appreciate anyhelp anyone can give me.  I am a total novice at both Linux and Astaro so if someone could help me step by step i would very much appreciate it.

    i've got nagios checking sysuptime on the astaro box.  however i want to monitor the rest of the stuff on astaro rather than having to log into the dashboard to see it.  

    I have had a look at the Zenoss but prefer to stick with nagios, but thanks for pointing it out to me

    Has anyone any experience of getting the ASL running with nagios?

    just enable snmp on the asg and do a snmpwalk from your nagios-box.

    i don`t know zenoss and i wasn`t looking for some openview replacement. 
    our nagios checks the status of some astaros - for example Interface and VPN-Connection and of course uptime and so on - through snmp.

    your statement "nagios is not able to handle snmp" is just not right!
