open source version

When you install v7 it has an open source version request.  Asking if you want to install it.  For a lark I tried it and it failed.  All it does is come to a prompt asking for runlevel.  Has anyone else had this problem?

    but I remember that it more or less says in that message that astaro has to offer to install the open source version for legal reasons only. It seems to be requirement to be able to use open source products in a commercial bundle.

    I guess the open source version is not intended to work, after all, it is the proprietary stuff that makes the software good, or at least different ;-).

    It is not a problem, it is a feature that allows you to install just the Linux kernel and the bundled open source tasks without any of the Astaro proprietary code. As HenningE pointed out, Astaro allows you to do this in order to comply with the open source distribution legalities. But selecting that option does not give you an Astaro firewall appliance, so why would you bother?
