pppoe and internet

Hi all
I have configured pppoe-dsl interface and it's up with a static ip
the problem is I cannot access the internet, I have configured nat but it didn't solve the problem. (asg 220 v6)
any idea?

Can you ping the default gateway?

yes I can ,
the problem is when i define it as standard etherenet and connect the router to the internet everything goes fine and i can access the internet
but when define it as pppoe-dsl it doesn't work
is there anything i should add in policy based routing

Yes,
you still need an adsl modem to interface the ASG to the internet.

The PPPoE is the output from the modem.

hi
the ADSL router is set to bridge mode and connected to asg interface and the interface is connected and assigned the static ip address
but i can't access the internet?
