ADSL problem

Hi all
We have astaro asg 220 (version 6) we want to connect eth1 to ADSL router
so we configured the DSL router in bridge mode and the eth1 is ppoe-dsl we set the address, gateway assigned by remote 
The problem is the eth1 interface status is always down no matter what 
Another problem is that the ISP has a proxy so where should we put it?

    Just put your username and password in the interface information for PPPOE. Leave address, gateway assigned by remote. 

    I have noticed that the status doesn't change right away on the interface status page, even though you are connected so don't be alarmed by that. You can browse the connection status in Local Logs under pppoe and it will give you the live status.

    There is another thread https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/52/t/25708 that shows you how to tweak your pppoe timeouts etc if you are interested in that.

    As far as ISP proxy, enable HTTP proxy on astaro and use your ISP's proxy server as parent proxy.

    Hi,

    Did you enable the Interface?

    The standard Administrative State of the Interface is "Disabled".

    You need to click on the red flag...to enable it...and it will become green...
