What Runs At 10pm That Causes A Crash?

normally all cron jobs are done around midnight so maybe it is another issue ?!
If you check the hardware and network graphs are there any uncommon peaks around 10pm ?
What i mean is, could it be possible that a network job is causing your trouble ?
For example is there a backup agent which is tranferring a lot of data from a DMZ server ?

Does it happen only once, or every week on the same weekdays ?

Is your time zone setting within ASL by any chance set wrong (a 2 hr offset), so that the standard midnight run of housekeeping procedures that ASL does takes place at 10 pm your time?

Well, even if it sounds "logic", I don't think a time difference would make it crash. But if it happens while another job is running at that time, there may be an incompatibility, that would make it crash.
There may also be an issue with the power supplies in you area. I remember such an issue with a Novell server in the past. Exactly the same as you described. It was someone using a huge amount of power everyday at the same time.

You said several months, any idea back when it started? Sometime arounf last week-end of october? (that is when most contries changed time savings).

Maybe it wil stop as of next monday. (we are changing time savings again).

These where just some thoughts from my end.

Him time settings are ok. I have even built a second system and restored the backup to it. But it still happens, what log file can I check?
