Routing Question

Hi, im kind of new to linux and especialy this hardcore firewalling, but what i was looking for is to let all of my connectons go through this Astaro server is it possible ?, i have 2 network card in the server, if i connect the cable from the modem in one and a cable that goes to HUB for other computers isi t going to work.

    If your "server" is a PC you want to use as Firewall and nothing else it will work.
    Or, if it is also your server, you can run Astaro as a VMWare Virtual Machine

    Hi Phantasm, 

    If you already have Astaro setup and running on the server, then all you need to do is setup the proper NAT and packet filter rules.

    When you log into an Astaro firewall you should see a circular button with a question mark in the top right hand corner, this will bring you to a detailed list of all the settings and setup instructions for the firewall.

    Take a look at this and read up on NAT and Packet Filter rules and you should be all set.
