ip counter in error

I am getting the 90% warning and this is what is listed:

192.168.255.197
192.168.255.198
192.168.255.199
192.168.255.200
192.168.255.202
192.168.255.201
192.168.255.195
192.168.255.196
192.168.255.108


That's totally incorrect.  It should read:
192.168.255.200
192.168.255.202
192.168.255.201
192.168.255.108

This is occurring after a reboot which i previously got this warning.  I have 6 mechines behind the astaro.  it appears astaro's dhcp is not clearing out leases form the same mac address when it gives out a different ip to said mac address resulting in dhcp clients counting multiple times against the license.  The only way around this is to set the machines statically..IF astaro can get it's licenses cleared out.  Astaro you need to fix the license counter to work with dhcp.  If dhcp is going to change the ip address of a computer the license counter needs to remove the license hit agsinst the limit if the dhcp server chnages a computer's address.

    I have tried rebooting again..however the license counter remains inaccurate.  195, 196, 197, 198, 199, have not been used in a while(maybe over a week) but still show up in the counter even though they are long expired.  200, 201, 202 are static servers and 108 is my current machine 107 is my wife's computer.

    under v7.x the ip count is supposed to reset after 7 days. The IP count process has been changed under v7.x, appears to count everything in the arp table was a comment passed by some-one in an earlier post.
    My understanding, but haven't tried is to not put gateway address into the non ASG traversing IPs. 
    I suspect it will count any device that uses the NTP function of the ASG which is a bit of a disappointment. It will mean a lot of companies that don't allow general internet access but require a timeserver will need to make a LAN element as a time server which picks up info from the ASG. I don't think that was the aim of the people requesting that Astaro add the timeserver function to the ASG.

    I don't use the machine for time services.  I only have 6 machines in my house so how can i have 10 ip's used?

    My Firwewall's LIC-Counter went up to 253 IP's yesterday night.
    Seems i accidently had a testsystem with enabled dhcp active in the network....with a 25 User Licence and 253 counted IP's i now have a huge problem when i cannot reset the Licencecounter like in v6.
    Why isnt there a button ...erk?

    Using DHCP with wired and wireless devices is a nightmare for license counting.

    Some of my users use wire most of the time, but roam the office on wireless.  More IPs used.

    Another reason I'm sticking to v6.

    If Astaro are not careful, V7 will be the death of the company.

    I'd be interested in knowing how many people are still using v6 compared to v7.

    We are still using v6, i've been reading of FAR too many problems with the 7 series....sure there are some cool new features, but there are WAAAY too many that bring it down

    i'm not using anything astaro at all right now.  V7 is clearly a beta at best..maybe even an alpha.

    I have to admit, with all the problems I'm striking with stuff that either isn't working or isn't working as I would expect, I'm thinking of trying v6 instead.

    With a small number of IP's in my home network, I found I could create static leases to re-use the IP's that were assigned to a PC when originally testing ASGv7 and no longer needed, but not "forgotten" (also had to assign the same IP to the NIC in the machine taking over the 'lease' and then switch back to DHCP).

    The IP limit coupled with old, unexpired leases is quite a frustrating problem as it seems the refusal to assign more IP's is a silent failure with no solution - I can see many techies pulling their hair out trying to figure out what they have done wrong - when they have actually done nothing wrong!

    Note - There seems to be "no response" from Astaro on these issues, including the unworkable limit of 10 IP addresses for Home License.

    The good thing is that it has started a couple discussions in these forums that have pointed out there are "true open source" alternatives to ASGv7.
