AD integration

What are the communities feelings on the AD integration of ASL7?  Also I am going to be looking it up in the manual to see how it works but can anyone give me pointers on this feature as well?

    Tried to get it working on a samba pdc, but it didn't work.....

    is there any manual aside from v7 admin manual that covers this topic??

    I use AD authentication for the webadmin and it works perfect.
    I also will try to use it for the http proxy to assign profiles to AD Groups.
    For me it works great and i realy like this feature at the V7 ;-)

    Its not functioning as it should be (HTTP Proxy) So far as I could see......

    In V6.303 you should make a "Global security group" with underneath your "local security groups", for these groups you make Profiles.

    I looked for newer documents at http://astaro.com/kb but couldn't find any.
    So used the manual ASG_V7_Administration_Guide_EN as INFO.
    Version 7 works totaly different than 6.
    In V 7.001 it is functioning without de Global security group. So all the members of the domain can use the Internet Proxy.......
    ** So filterrules won't work as they should be. ** Tested with Windows 2000 Adv. server/Windows XP client.

    Sofar as I can test/see it won't work (bug?)

    I want to use this for a client , so it has to be tested before we upgrade from V 6 to V7.

    Yes, http Proxy with diffrent profiles dosen't work for me.... :-(

    We have 4 domains here for historic reasons and I'd like to use the Astaro with web content filtering using authentication across all the domains (we were told that this worked when we bought the kit, but in V6 this simply wasnt the case).  

    Is it now possible to do this with v7?  If not, would it be possible to make this a feature in the near future?

    Generic Authentication can be done using RADIUS as this works across multiple WINDOWS systems ....
