Release 7 worse than beta

Well, aside from all the beta bugs, I at least usually had a functional management UI. Now with this release version, my UI is hanging like crazy. I get "backend" errors clicking on just about anything. I also seem to notice that around the time of a hang, I see the java error exclamation point at the bottom of the screen. Details in the debugger state that there is an error in line 11 char 3. error: 'null' is null or not an object. code 0

Hi coscraze,

can you please descibe more detailed on what kind of system you have V7 installed, CPU, RAM.

What is your CLient machine and the browser you are using.

On what page do you get the error.

I get these backend timeout errors mostly in the Management>Webadmin settings. I can not change the webadmin timeout value, or any other settings on that page.

I am using a:

Duron 1100
20 Gb HD
784 Mb RAM (v7.00 uses 67% of it when i have IPS, HTTP, POP3, Spyware on)
SIS NIC
Digital NIC

I have noticed that the Web Gui will function for a while, then just stop responding (nice job on the GUI, btw). This happened to me running Firefox 2.0 on OS X 10.4.8.

Astaro V7 is running on a 120 appliance.

Also get a problem in IE6 on XPSP2. It gets a little slower, then slower, then pops up an error 'unable to complete backend request' and recommends that that I shift-reload and log in again.

This is on a 120 that has absolutely no load on it.

I mainly get the error on management tab and ALWAYS when I select the up2date selector. Seems this thing has never checked for an up2date. is the dns search bug still in place with the released product?

this is running on a P4 with 512 MB of ram and 3 nic cards. i think the motherboard is an ASUS P4P 800 or something like that. My HD is 40GB if I am not mistaken.

The hanging problem didnt exist on any of the betas for me... so this is new.

i did the edit on that file and it worked. that is rediculous though. i think astaro needs to add a link to the release announcement which specifies all the known issues and solutions. maybe then people would not be going so crazy in the forums.
