Does anybody know some article or document that compares Astaro security linux against Checkpoint?. I'd like to hear some inputs from you about this.

For very large Clusters, Checkpoint is easier to handle. But for normal "Enterprise" enviroments, Astaro is much much cheaper, with the same features and "quality".

One point I think Astaro is doing better is in IPsec VPN implementation. Astaro is more interoperable than Checkpoint with other vendors. That's because Astaro have almost full compliance with the IPsec RFCs, so we can connect Astaro with almost any vpn client or vpn gateway.
In the case of the interoperability with other clients, seems to be not important for Checkpoint because they distribute their vpn client for free. However, they are not fully compatible with other operating systems like Linux, As far as I know they developed only a client for Red Hat 7.3, and after that nothing.
I'd like to read from you if you consider my point good or if I am totally wrong.
I am fairly new to the Astaro device and have experience, all bad, with checkpoint. I can say very confidently that Astaro is easier to use, it is more flexible with different topologies and has better functionality.
The checkpoint device we used caused me extreme grief.
