availability of Kaspersky AV Updates

For how long will i be able to get Kaspersky AV Updates with older Versions of ASL/ASG?

My "at Work" ASL will be stuck at 6.202 until a decision was made how to continue with Astaro.

    And what about V5, will this be upgraded to Astaro AV Engine, too? There are still some out there using it ;-)

    Well theoretically you only got a valid license for Astaro AV not Kaspersky, so they could deactivate the updates anytime they want. But I doubt they will do that.

    V5 will be supported till end of year, as far I heard (rumours). So I guess they will do KAV updates till end of year, instead of implementing the engines on the V5 units.

    ...and the timenet appliance with V5 ? 

    We have one with a valid maintenance (incl. secure email) until Nov 2007 ... :-) and changing to V6 on this hardware is not possible.

    Astaro will maintain pattern updates for Kaspersky an all versions until ASG V4, V5 and V6 are End Of Life. This means for at least another three years, as there is no v6 EOL defined yet.

    ASG V4 and V5 will continue to use the Kaspersky engine and will not be switched to our new one.

    Every installation will always be protected with the latest av pattern.
