DNS Proxy and Concurrent Connections

I was looking at using Astaro as a DNS server for a large customer base. Astaro would be very simple to use and make rules to allow only authorised networks, hosts etc. access to query the DNS server on its External interface. Plus if we wanted a powerful firewall for anything in the future it would already be there.

However I am unsure whether the Concurrent Connections: 32000 of my license would apply to this type of usage or not? I know that this is a high number but in the future its possible that this could be reached.

Remember Astaro's DNS is a proxy only, you cannot easily edit it and doing so would break the license agreement.
32,000 concurrent connections is quite high...

Sorry, I should have clarified, Its not going to act as an authoritive name server, just a DNS server for our customer base to use for lookups so there should be no need to edit any part of the DNS config for that purpose.

One of the reasons I wanted to do this is for ease of administration for our tech team, Plus it gives the server some additional usage rather than just a standard DNS server.
