Big problems after upgrading from v5.2x to v6.201

Hi folks,

maybe someone recognized this problem already !?

I upgraded from v5.2x (latests patches) to v6.201 on friday, upgrade works fine, no errors.

Since then, something very strange happens. Must be around midnight, the ASL box doesnt accept any traffic on any network device. Our box has 3 3com nics (DMZ, WAN, LAN). I cant reach internet from the LAN, servers in the DMZ cannot ping the ASL box and our hosted websites in the DMZ are not longer available from the Internet.

I double checked all packet filter rules, everything just seems to be fine.

SSH access and Webadmin are also not reachable from any nic.

Last chance is too reboot it from the console, after that, it works just until some time around midnight.

I checked all logs, nothing special. [:(]

Any idea ? This is driving me nuts !

what kind of services do you run? What kind of hardware do you use?

Hi Alex,

we are using ASL on a FSC Primergy Econel 40, pretty standard system. P4 2.8 512MB RAM 80GB HDD.

ASL is running on a appx. 80 user LAN as a packet filter firewall, PPTP VPN Server Webproxy(without filtering), all other services are disabled.

The ASL box is down right now, same symptoms like everytime, no access on any nic. [:(]

I got some more news on our problem.

Right now, our ASL box is not accepting any trafic. I logged in at the console and checked the rounting entrys. There is no route but the loopback route, ít seems the asl lost all routing entrys.
