after 2 days online, interface up, ip down?

hi,
now i got the same shitty thing again. In network->interfaces i got on my internet-eth "Admin"=grenn and "Oper"=down.

What the hell is that? i run it on a 8gb hdd and my old debian was running on a 1.2gb hdd and never logged out for no reason?

Where can i find some informations about what is going on on that interface?

Why does astaro needs so long, and is doing so much on hdd while setting internet-eth again on Oper=up ? The interface is green and Oper=up, but it will take up to 2-3 minutes till i can call a http site?  what is astaro doing while this time?

on debian box i got , interface up, and directly i could connect with all i have?

where can i watch whats going on on this firewall ?

Don't compare yur old debian with Astaro, only because both is Linux.
Or would you compare a Mercedes SMART with a 1000 horsepower Truck, because both are CARS ?? 
BTW, it is recommended to use at least 20GB harddrive (although many home users use smaller ones)

Sounds you are using a damn small computer which you expect to run all the powerful features of Astaro.
How much memory are you using ? Use at least 256mb, better 512 then HDD activity will decrease.

Check the logs via WebAdmin, or use 'top' on the console

thanks for the answers, i use 8gb harddrive as recommended in astaro hardware requirements, and i use 128mb ram.

with comparing we get better results.

my new post is also because the astaro was 1 minute before again down, the host is only running 11 days.

my debian box was sometimes running over 150 days, doesnt needed all the kernel release between because of a very small selfbuild kernel, where theses errors couldnt affecting me.

but why my astaro host again down, the ip was down i mean,not the system. Also after i clicked on the red-lamp , it went green and i got an new ip from my provider. While astaro was still doing something with my hdd i clicked again on the green lamp, and then i got a red-lamp, but WITH an ip from my provider?  is that right?

perhaps i dont check for what "Oper" and "Admin" means?

Why does astaro is doing so much with the hdd? i dont use any "intrusion protection" or proxies or anything, i still have inserted my old rules nothing else?

Also i think astaro is doing something every 24h after the time you have installed astaro on your box? what it is i also dont know, i think astaro is like windows, you cannot see or doing anything real only click a red or green lamp?

when the firewwall-ip will be down again and i got a little bit of time i will setup debian on the box again. more convenient doing nothing [:)]

Also, if you have accounting enabled, accounting reports are created each night.

128MB is very little for ASL. If you use the proxies, it is definitely too little.
