Terminal Serivces licensing issue?

Having a difficult time activating TS licenses for a couple of our servers  that have expired, and not quite sure where to go from here. Neither of the two servers have Terminal Server  Licensingr installed on them, but a different server does.

Microsoft documentation says that  in the Terminal Server Licensing , click ALL SERVERS. and follow the activation wizard. So I went to the one server that does have the Terminal Server Licensing on it,  I tried clicking on ALL SERVERS but get an error mesasge saying that "No Terminal Server License Server" is available in the current domain or workgroup".  Then get a message saying "Windows cannot connect to a licensing server"

I'm relatively new here abd don't know how the guy before me had this set up.  All I know is that two servers  have expired. I don't see any license servers anywhere on the network. Could it be that he registered(or licensed) the servers in a different way?

Any ideas how I can get these servers activated?

It's possible that he registered them online and Astaro is preventing the box from communicating with the server.

Check your packet filter and IPS logs and see if there is anything there.

Have a look in "Sites and Services" console, expand the site. Once of the options for an individual site should be "TS Licensing".

Check that the entry for that site is still correct.

I just checked out the AD Sites and Services. It doesn't have this server listed. Whats more.. it only has 4 of our 14 servers listed in the tree. And those 4 that are listed in the tree do not have a TS License option like you mentioned Jason.

I don't know how this guy before me licensed or registered the servers on our network or what he did.

Theres a bug sometimes with MS TS Licening, not getting the right IP of the Licening server (even if the TS and Licening Server are on the same machine ).

There was a registry hack, to force the TS to use a specific Licening Server. Around Licening in the middle of the block.
