High Availability is shutting down second machine

Strange, updating from 5.2 to 6.1 was fine but when I started the second machine in a HA enviroment the first machine is shutting down after some minutes. I tried the HA installation like described in the manual. Does anybody have a hint for me? Thanks in advance.

    You have to make sure that all configured interfaces are plugging in and alive on both devices. If it does not see a link it thinks it has failed.

    You want to make sure that both machines are set up the same, EXCEPT for the heartbeat link address and Device Name (so you can tell them apart).

    If you use the same restore on both machines, they'll have the same address. HA won't like this.

    Also check to make sure the link is up. 

    Last, are the machines on a network? If the first machine comes up and doesn't have connectivity on it's interfaces, it will think there is a failure and drop so that the second can pick up traffic.

    Steve, thanks for the hint with the heratbeat adress. This could be the problem. I restored both machines with the same backup file and only edited the name and IP adress. mhm, on the other hand, was it right the take one backup file to restore both boxes and only edit adress and name? mhm... Anyones opinion? [:S]

    Just restore the first machine.
    .
    Aktivate licence in the second one, update im nessecary. Activate HA, as descibed in the howto, and everything ist fine.

    OK, problem identified and fixed. It was a missing ethernet cable. Of course there was a article in the KB. My fault, sorry. Thanks for the support!
